Protect Your Network
Enhanced Surge and Cable ESD Protection
In this day and age, the need to be “connected” is a must have necessity which is driving the demand to have Networking Equipment installed in locations and buildings which were not built with these in mind, for example, Churches, Schools, and Gymnasiums. The electrical and data cabling in these buildings typically are not very robust, which may increase the risk of potential Power Surge or ESD energy to build up in the cables. Particularly during the storm weather seasons where the energy from lightning strikes nearby may jump into the data cables.
Typically, network equipment manufactures only protect the electrical source and enclosure, but leave the RJ45 Ethernet Port with minimal protection thus when an energy discharge occurs on the data cables, it will be able to directly shock the internal components causing damage to the Network Equipment. Emplus have a proprietary circuit design to enhance the resistance to Surge and ESD, in particular Cable ESD. This will minimize the risk to energy discharges that causes downtime and equipment damage.
